Text editor change in Fusion 2.5+??

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Did the text editor in Fusion 2.5+ change recently? I can't easily edit text anymore. From what I recall, you previously did so using a pop-up window where you typed the font inside, and you could edit it, hit enter to start a new line, etc. Now it's done right in the animation editor itself, and this is really hard to use. Am I missing something here?

  • You're describing three different renames. Editbox and String Object show paragraphs and have a multi-line pop-up. If you're editing animation names, you do that in the animation editor. If you edit alterable value/string names, that's a smaller pop-up.

  • I'm referring to the text tool inside the animation editor. Shouldn't there be a popup after you click the "A" icon and start typing text, or am I imagining that? I don't recall it forcing you to type directly in the frame you're editing.

yes - you click the [A] icon, click on the image at the point where you want text, and the [Text Box] does still appear for you to type in your text. * nothing changed.

I imagine your text box is moved off the screen where you cannot see it.

Reset your window settings in fusion, by holding down Ctrl+Shift while launching the application. see if you can find that window again.
