VectorialX: Wanted features

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Idea: I imagine we could get an editor going that would allow you to load a picture and hand-trace the outline, which could then be saved as a preset.
    >> The default example of this object is the start for that. ;)

Question: Is there any vector format for shapes that this object could someday read, in a future incarnation?
    >> I'll try to support the SVG format but I'm afraid about the weight the object can take after that... I've said that at the CC07. ;)

  • Currently, I think it this version is full-featured enough.

One has to get out there in the field and see what users agree is needed after they have been using it for a bit. That applies to me, as well. I may be working on something important and realize that a feature is really needed.

The only regret I have for VShape is that those fill patterns are absolute, rather than relative. I remember that you said you can't change that, but the implications are large.

The VShape has benefits similar to those of Quick Backdrops in that you can create thrifty shapes and objects with very small file-size. The fill patterns greatly expand the flexibility and style. However, in the current situation, if the shape is not static, the fill, being static, appears to be like another layer that the shape is sliding over, if you know what I mean.

Well, I am not complaining, though ;) Vectors are still great tools to have for MMF2 and Vitalize! will certainly benefit from them.

  • only patterns are static, not gradients or tiled pictures (you can change the transformation mode for them). :)
But currently there's a bug with multi-transformations and fill.
