Option to "Blur" the entire screen

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi,

    Is there an option to blur the entire screen for fade-outs, for example?

    I mean a gaussian blur where the screen gets more and more blurred until there is only one color left, and then it switches frame, for example.

    Any ideas?

  • Mmm, if that "entire screen" means there is something that can be blured, then, take a screenshot and load it, and keep making blur over that object. Else, sorry but i have no idea of how to do it on mmf, although i have a method for doing it on c++;

  • You could make a screenshot of the frame using the screen capture object, load that image into the image manipulator object to apply a blur to it, save it back to the harddrive, and display that image with for example the overlay.

    This would save an image to the harddrive twice(or many more times if you want the blur to increase over time), so it could be kinda slow and it's not very clean. If it's possible with a shader in the HWA build that would be much better, but I haven't tried HWA myself.
