Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

    Also you will find all images that were used as graphics for the game (from Contra aka Super Probotector)

    It contains some enemy AI and a custom platform movement engine that is used (through a qualifier) to give physics to both the enemies and the player.

    Sorry for the messy AI code, I'm still a n00b when it comes to coding in MMF.

    Also, I have included an advertisement, as a test, in the game that will start to show the 20th of february. I'd like to hear your views about showing ads in a game, and the particular way I showed the ad in this game. (It's the first level and is shown through Google AdSense)

    I mean, ads are very common in Flash games, so I thought I'd experiment with that.

  • Using ads through google adsense is a violation of the TOS as far as I know. Googleads are supposed to be displayed on webpages only, so I'm slightly worried they might be able to detect this and close your account? I tried clicking it and it opens a complete webpage within the little ad-window. You should have it open in a default browser so people can see the offer :)

    With regards to ads in games. I'm all for that, as long as it's done in some non obstructive way.

    Well, the ad IS being shown on a webpage in internet explorer, it's just that the internet explorer AX control is hosted within a game.

    I'm fairly sure that it's not explicitly prohibited in the TOS.

    Good point on the new window thing. As I never clicked my ad, I didn't notice. Hmm.

    Any ideas?

  • A very nice idea :D

    I find it a bit difficult though, if you have to go down, because you can't see very far, so chances are high that you fall right onto the enemy.
