List of compatible phones

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

To clear things a little for the Mobile Java runtime, I though that a list of phones on which the MMF java runtime has been tested would be useful. Please send me a PM to report a phone that works or fails and I'll add it to the list.

  • Javamobile works fine and ultra fast in my Motorola Rokr Z6 :) !
It has a 240x320 screen with a 532Mhz ARM11, 4MB/unlimited Java memory and 64Mb dedicated to Linux Swap, just to run J2ME :)

    Love my phone ^^

  • In order to confirm whether the Samsung J706 issue is related to low memory I need to know the minimum size of a MMF mobile game. I'll search for a game with at minimum that size and try to execute it in my phone.

An empty application with a single object is 257 Kb in size.

Then that shouldn't be a problem, since there's already a larger game on my phone: 315Kb.

Can you guys generate one empty app with one object (128x160), so that I can test it on my phone? I'd really appreciate that.

BTW: the phone accepts MIDP 2.0 games/apps with both CLDC-1.1 and CLDC-1.O config.

    - oneobj.jar -> only one, static object & no specific version/author info
    - oneobj1.jar -> same application, but with some version/author info, just in case that would make any difference

  • Do we need to be specific with what we set in the version/author info?

Also, I tried using JADMaker to make my own jad instead of using the one MMF automatically builds but it gave me an error about missing manifest or something...i'm assuming that's because MMF mobile stores the manifest in a separate folder within the jad?

  • Great news!

After tweaking the files with "JAM" I did it. Both apps now run ok and I was even able to play Sudoku (126x160). The apps are just a red ball that randomly select a direction and moves quickly off-screen.

The process for the Samsung J706 is the following:

    1) Download the app "Java Adapter for Mobiles" (JAM) from this link: Please login to see this link.,

    2) When you run it change the "Adapt For" setting as follows:
    a) Model: Samsung, and
    b) Screen Size: 128x160 (E380,...) - IMPORTANT: don't select the irst option "128x160 (X600,...)" since it moves the display up some pixels.

    3) Change the "Adapt From" setting as follows:
    a) Model: Auto, and
    b) Check "Else - default profile",

    4) On Options:
    a) Check "Create Jad-file",
    b) Check "Delete unnecesary parameters",
    c) Important: by default "Don't add music files" is ckecked. So you may uncheck it.

    5) Finally, go to "File -> Open Jar" and when the jar is added click on the "Adapt JAR" button.

Then close the program, get your adapted Jar and Jad files and upload them to the J706 phone. It will work!

Yves, I have uploaded the modified files to the following link (for you guys to check):

Please login to see this link. (it can be downloaded 10 times, only)

    Hope this helps!

    Best,
    BHG

  • You're welcome. Glad to help. I hope tou find a way so I can install them w/o using the JAM app.

BTW. I was feeling lucky so I tried to test the upper limit of java games that the phone support. Guess what, contrary to what many may think -since this phone is a mod of J700 for Rogers, the memory limit is not 350kb for Java!!!

I have fully installed Fifa09 for testing purposes, which has a size of 416Kb. What is more, I also installed Fifa09 Brazil & Mexico edition for a different resolution, which has a size of 784kb. And they both work!!! (of course, I only see one quarter of the drawed screen in the latter).

So, I can say J706 has no memory problems. However, I wasn't able to install yet "Bruce Lee Iron Fist 3D", even for my screen res. (128x160). Maybe it has to be with the "3D" thing there. EDIT: correction. I've finally found the correct version to install!
