We are looking for Bid on a extension that can perform the following function of helping to select groups of objects even if they are multiple instances of the same object that fit certain conditions laid out in the event, as described...
QuoteDisplay MoreCONDITION
for each (select object)
The idea of the extension would be the possibility of getting the number of instances of a certain object, under conditions set by the other conditions. The expression of an event with "for each" would affect only the objects chosen with "for each" under the other conditions.
EXAMPLE 1:
For each (object1)
+ (a member of group with object1) is in play area
-> Spread value A of object1Here, the "for each" would restrict the objects chosen from the group marked with the qualifier, so instead of affecting all the objects in the chosen group, the event would only affect and spread the value A of object1's that are in the play area. This could be done in other ways too, though.
EXAMPLE 2:
For each (member of group X)
+ (a member of group X) has it's value A set to 1
-> start loop "loop" X times, where X is the amount of members of group XHere the 'for each' -condition would restrict the number of loops, so that the actual loop count would not be the number of all members in group X, but instead the number of members with a certain alterable value set to a certain number. I'm not sure if this can be done, however, so it's be interesting to hear about this.
The usefulness of 'for each' would be quite big in situations where one has big groups and has to somehow restrict the amount of group members that are commanded through the events. For example, it'd be much faster in a game to not run loops through all enemies, but instead those that are in the scrolling area and so on.
