simple explanation of dotNet extension

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi, I was looking for some explanations about the dotNet extension and found no information for real beginners. The examples that come with the extension doesn't have good explanations and the help just describes features, again without explanations or tutorials (the same with examples found at this forum). Does anyone have some sort of tutorial?

If not, can someone prepare a simple so I can understand it better? Something as simple as a button click that calls a c# function that returns a value to fill a string object?

    Thank you!

  • Small example for you Please login to see this link.. Not sure if it's the sort of thing you're looking for but hope it helps.
It updates a value in the C# code and returns a string each time a button is clicked.
Also added a couple extra bits to show immediate and normal conditions being called / set from C#.

  • Hi TreeHugger,

Thanks for this example. It is very useful. I think there should be more examples explaining the use of MMFInterface so that it is clear how the objects in MMF can interact with the code lines in the dotnet object.

    Thanks for the Example

  • If people are interested in dotNet then the recent OpenGL objects allow you to code OpenGL using it -

However for some reason the recent version seems to have broken the display for the dotNet examples it includes but im guessing that will be sorted sometime soon. :)
