Just wondering..... pricing difference

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Just wondering why I do have to pay a lot for the new flash arrival then the people in the US have to do?

$69 by far doesn't equal €59 at all..... $69 equals €47, that is a lot less. Looks like Europeans (including those paying in pounds, $69 is 39 pounds, not 49) end up paying a lot more then the US citizens do.

Is there any reason for this? I'm still debating if I should get the swf exporter or not, these times €59 isn't something I just pay without thinking. Adding the price difference on top of that, I may hold off for now.

  • Well, I never got this. The European price is always more expensive - for every product on earth. Would be nice if someone could clarify this really...

EDIT: I just want to point out that I'm not dissatisfied with the pricing and I think it's justified for all the effort put into it. ;)

  • The price is the price, cannot do anything about that, different variations/shops etc. Only you will know if you feel the price is worthwhile to buy it, based on the information we have given.

Jamie, No he has to buy it from the store he is localised to.

  • As far as I recall VAT is charged afterward, not beforehand, at least that's how it is normally.

  • If you really need the exporter, the price is very low. It is a big price if you're only going to release pong games though :) That's why I'll finish a flash compatible game first and then buy the exporter.

This is somewhat off topic, but CT's life would be easier if they'd use some hassle free e-commerce provider like Please login to see this link.. Just my 2 cents after having read some people complaining here.

I agree, though I personally recommend Please login to see this link. as being more developer friendly.

Just wondering what's the price of Flash in Japan? They've got their own money, own market and I don't thing that they are paying in USD.

If I'm not mistaken, US buy from US, all the world (including Europe) buy from Europe shop.

  • as i stated elsewhere. australian users are getting charged more because we are told by the shoddy online store we have chosen euro.
id would have liked to pay US, due top their weak dollar myself.
    AUS users are paying 81US$.

    well done CT.
