Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Okay, here's the fifth beta... see the progress thread for a changelog. It should also fix the redraw bugs reported by Tiles.
    I've also attached an SWF version of the object. It's very limited and you can only:

    • Clear the surface with a color
    • Resize the surface, reverse X/Y
    • Draw with color (Line, ellipse, rectangle)
    • Set pixels, flood fill, replace pixels
    • Get RGB/R/G/B/Alpha of a pixel


    The image drawn in the MMF editor is not loaded, multiple images won't work either.

    When using multiple images, and the first image is empty and the user enabled "Load first image at start", so that he can define an empty default image (The one with the checkerboard) it's not created at runtime. Blit.mfa wouldn't work. Fixed!

  • I tried porting my waving flag example to use the surface object (attached).
    Notice how there are gaps between the segments. Do you have some sort of rounding issues in the extension or are they incorrectly off by 1?

  • Ah, thanks. Points are stored as floats (for rotating/scaling etc.).
    When drawing the polygon, I create a new array of integers, and pass the rounded value of the floats to them...
    I changed it to pass the float directly which will obviously cut off the decimals, but if that's what you want... :)

  • I was just wondering what would cause that, because I already round off my values (manually) before giving them to the surface object to make sure that it doesn't have gaps. So I was just surprised to see that the surface object had those gaps as if I didn't round up/down manually at all.

  • Tiles, the transparent color one is tricky. It's because if there is no image to edit, there's no image to set the transparent color. I'd have to add some workarounds to make it work... :(

    EDIT: The SWF works fine for me... that sucks. I wonder if it's my fault - how could it be...?!

    EDIT2: Okay, I think I fixed the transparent color bug. The workaround is simple but should work fine.

    I wonder the same. I still get the warning, and compiling doesn`t finish. A blank app compiles just fine. Hmm.

    XP SP3, up to date, MMF2 Dev with current 249. Of course i run as admin. I have downloaded the whole surface extension twice to be sure that it was not a corrupt download.

    I will do a few tests now to cut it down a bit more.

  • Stays as it is. I cannot get the flash file to compile. Even with a complete new app and just a surface object in the frame. Sorry :(

  • I have trashed the surface extension again, have redownloaded, and reinstalled. And this time it compiles fine to flash without problems. Hmm. Still no clue where the error was, but it is fixed now. Scratch this one. One bug less to worry. Nevertheless thanks for having a look :)

  • I'm having a problem with the new version now.

    It just won't display anymore.

    It still loads all my images because the animated picture object can still access them, but the surface object itself just stopped showing up.

    I did notice something odd though. Whenever I scroll to the top left corner it shows up as a filled black frame.

    At first I thought that perhaps the bliting functions had broke so I checked that by setting the display directly to the image I wanted to blit but that didn't work either.

    Dunno...
