Nah it's all compatible of course
Surface Object
Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Quick update that fixes a silly redraw bug.
Please login to see this link. -
An older image references mfa example now seems to crash when you run it and press spacebar.
By this i mean the global images thing where it makes a random noise and sends the image to another frame.
-
Hahahaha, wow, good find, but yeah, I know, I even stated that in this thread - I changed the way the "Set reference state" action works. Setting it to 0 now is the same as using 1 before. I got it mixed up in an old version, so you have to change it. But really that's all that changed!
-
Thanks if i set it as 1 then it works again.
For frame 2 you would set it to 0 again, which would make it local and remove it from memory?
If i have that right a quick idea could be a remove references option. So if you send many references over and want to remove them all from memory after they send it only needs a single action.
-
Yeah setting it to 0 would make it local.
Hm maybe I'll add something like that but mind you, if you convert an image to a reference and delete it, the original image will be gone too. -
Ok thanks, maybe rather than delete it could just multi set to reference or local which would be the same type of thing i had in mind.
Basically i was thinking if i modified that example to use 100 images instead rather than single actions having some sort of batch option would be quite useful.

What about fast loops :O
By the way, I plan to replace the "Perform operation" functions by "Evaluate expression" ones when I finally get time for this, so you could enter custom expressions like "r = 2*g". Anybody here who actually used them? I guess not everybody will read this but I'd like to get some input on whether I can replace them or should add them separately.
-
Add separately please.
Thanks

BUG
Doesn't draw the lines and text when using multiple images. -
Out of curiosity, is it possible to have anti-aliasing for drawing lines and shapes? I am trying to get rid of the jagged edges and I am not having too much success.
I have played around with perform operation, but I haven't been able to find a good use for it. Sorry.
-
Not really, no, sorry.
I updated the Flash version for Jacob. the RedAt, GreenAt etc. expressions now behave properly and also added some other things like deleting images.

I've fixed several bugs, for example a font bug in the Draw text action and added the ability to rotate and scale the Surface at runtime like a normal Active object. The collision mask is also updated.
Plus, I've rewritten the Flash version (It now requires Flash 10, flex config update is included) and it works pretty well now. You can expect these features to work: All actions in the "With color" menu, polygons, blitting with source region and stretching (That neat Surface text blitter example by Hernan works fine!), various things such as converting to grayscale.

Bug of the multiple images still not fixed?

Oh, I'm very sorry, must have missed your bug report.
There is no bug in your mfa. Only an error on your side: You set the 'current' image to 1. The current image is the image being displayed. However you don't set the 'editing' image, which is the image being modified. Set both editing and current image to 1 and it will work. Also, there is a property called "Display editing image", where the editing image is always automatically displayed. -
-
Update: There now are two 'Screen to image X/Y coordinate' expressions. Basically, when your Surface is rotated and scaled, it'll be hard to figure out the position of the pixel under the mouse cursor. These expressions calculate it for you. It works in Flash, too. Plus, the "Linear resampling" property now decides whether or not shapes (or lines) are drawn with anti aliasing in Flash.
Download (very stable, btw, don't hesitate to update):

The Flash version now is compatible with Flash 9 (no flex config change) and the compatibility with the Tile Cost object was fixed.

Hi!
The "With color / Flood fill" option doesn't work when ewported to SWF. (it works when i test the frame in the MMF2 editor)
Am I doing something wrong? Maybe I don't have the good flex-config.xml file?BTW : excellent extension! Thanks!
-
Hi, that's strange because it should actually work (except the tolerance parameter). The flex-config only makes the extension either work *not at all* or *completely* so it's not that. I'll look into it, thanks.
