Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • OK, Collisions work like this:
Turning 'Use Collisions' On on a node will mean two things:
    1. The mesh that this node uses will become an obstacle for other nodes to crash into.
    2. Changing the Radius and Translation settings control how close the node can get to another node (that has Use Collisions on) before it collides.

(radius and translation is a size/offset measurement from the node's position.)

So, with Use Collisions on, a node can be collided into. However, a node can only collide into other nodes if the Collision Radius is something other than 0,0,0.

    Make sense?

  • yes. they are the only parts i already knew. whats confusing are the events:

they make absolutely no sense at all in their application.

    the options are:
    uses collisions.
    has collided with a node.
has collided with a particular node.

now all of these sound like they are useful so far. but
use them and i immediately think WTF.

    questions arise.
USES COLLISIONS <- how is that a question? what condition would you use with that?

HAS COLLIDED WITH A NODE <- and now what?

HAS COLLIDED WITH A PARTICULAR NODE <- what node, we dont get to select. how is this useful in its current form?

this is what im thinking soon as i attemted use them..

Now you can check the node and process the collision.

Hu? Of course you get to select it!

  • HAS COLLIDED WITH A PARTICULAR NODE: animated mesh <- no you dont, must be bug.

i have some collisions working with COLLIDES WITH NODE.
what i was doing wrong before that registered no collisions, was i only set X&Z radius. you must also set Y.
