Typography Object - Alpha 1

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Clickteam.
  • A first alpha of my Typography Object, based on FreeType and my advanced layout system. Please report any bugs, especially crashes; feature requests; questions and so on. Includes both Ascii and Unicode versions.

Features coming in the next versions:

    • All disabled actions
    • Padding
    • OpenType Features!

    Known issues:

    • No ANSI characters (coded 128 to 255) will misbehave (Specifically in Bi-Di mode) in the non-Unicode version of MMF2. Will be fixed next build.
    • Some of the properties might not work and even crash at edit time. Please use actions for now.
    • The edit time display is not coded yet, it will only display the icon in the top left corner.
    • Line breaking works, but word breaking doesn't yet, so if a word is wider than the actual width of the object crazy stuff shall happen!

    Supported languages/scripts:

    • Latin, Greek, Cyrillic and most similar languages.
    • Hebrew and non-cursive RTL languages. (Arabic not fully supported yet)
    • Japanese and Chinese.

Future builds will also add support to:

    • Arabic (For some fonts only)
    • Advanced CJK (Chinese/Japanese/Korean) layouts.
    • Korean Hangul

Let me know if you can read and write any non-Latin (or Latin-like) script, and try it with the object (It will probably require the Unicode/Japanese version of MMF), and report any issues, I'll do my best to fix them

P.S. Don't be afraid if you don't know the meaning of a typographical term or a setting, just ask.

Double spacing (Z key) does not seem to function properly in the example.

Also I found out that the Line Spacing action always sets the line spacing value to 1. Whoops. Fixed in next version.

    OH..
    Brain leakage on my part.

This seems to be really stable so far. The crashes I was getting was my fault, with bad coding.

You should still report how to reproduce them. MMF2 extensions should really never crash even if you use them wrong.
