Box2D Angular Gravity

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • In Box2D, is it possible to create an object that has its own gravitational pull? As in, every body within a certain radius is pulled towards it?

  • You can make a sensor that covers the radius, and for every body touching the sensor, apply a force based on the angle between the bodies. Or I guess you could use a gravity controller with a relatively heavy body attached to the world with a revolute joint.

  • I could try that. I tried to just make a body with a mass of like 999999999999, but it didn't work :(

Thanks though, I'll try that in a bit.

  • You could do a distance calculation between the bodies and manually add a force if they are within a certain distance.
