Sponsor's Preloaders & Splash Screens

Hi All,

As promised in another thread, I've uploaded all the sponsor preloaders that I've had to do over the last few months. The idea is to create a repository for these and this should cut down on the time it takes for everyone to replicate sponsor's FLA's.

I've uploaded 4 so far... Armor Games, Free Online Games (or FOG), Hairy Games & TeaGames. I think i've missed a couple, so i'll upload these once I've dug them out.

It would be great if the other chaps who have had some success in getting their games sponsored, could post their MFA's here and i'll add them to this post (i'm looking at you DizzyDoo and Evilized!)

One thing you will notice is that some of these include sounds and you can't use sounds in preloaders at the moment. What I typically do is create a basic loading frame for the preloader with a loading bar and then use the proper splash screen in the first frame of the game.

Excellent idea Steven, we need to be supporting each other's attempts at making some cash with our favourite game dev software. All my other preloaders are just images, which are rather easy to import, but here's a splash screen for Two Towers Games.

You might want to check you haven't embedded font files, that you haven't left the mochiads key, etc (AG)

I haven't gotten a sponsor yet but I was thinking of something like this too.

I was thinking of actually offering the converted MFA splash screens to the Sponsor so that if they sponsored another MMF2 developer they would be able to give them the MMF2 version of the splash screen. What do you guys think of that?

Also, how did you convert them? Did you ask for the raw vector files and use MMF2's vector graphic import feature?

I exported all the images out as png's and then recorded the sounds using audacity. Works a treat

Some of them take a bit more work like the FOG one, but that's all just done within MMF.

they only give me the action script code to be inserted in the first frame.
how can I implement it?

You can attach a file (if it's max 1MB) by pressing the 'Switch To Full Reply Screen' and pressing the 'File Manager' link below the message box.
