Development canceled.

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Clickteam.
  • Multimedia fusion 2's OpenGL capabilities are beyond anything expected.

The Project was a great success, i wish you luck with whatever you do next.

    Thank You.

  • That is sad news, thanks for the OpenGL collection though it was/is great.

I also agree with SortaCore, if you could give the source to Clickteam or a developer like Looki it would be good, it would be great if this project can continue.

  • Yes, thanks for all the effort you put into this - it definitely turned out nicely.

Atom: Me? Hahaha, good one! First of all, I'm not experienced in OpenGL by any means - Back then I just tried to keep the extension alive. Also, I currently have a lot on my schedule.
Personally I think there is no argument against releasing the source code (other than "but my coding is so ugly!" - it's not) :).

  • Wow that is sad, I had an entire environment programmed with this extension. Glad I did not release it yet. Guess I can re-build another way.

Does this mean that what is out there is going to go away and there will be no chance to use is if you don't already have it?

  • I put a lot of work into making these extensions and the majority of them are stable enough, the 3D sprite and Milkshape 3D extensions being the exceptions, so I'll keep them available.

As for the source, I won't release it publicly, but if any of you developers are interested in it send me a pm.

  • Yes, thank you so much! I reread my original post and, in the panic of the moment  I see there were a few things I should have added to that post...

    Min...

Thank you so much for all the hard work you have put in to the OpenGL set, it is very, very impressive!

I am sorry that things have changed but I hope that the change for you is for the better and I wish you well.

And thanks for all the effort over the years you have put in to the forum and Click Team products.

Ok no problem, I was thinking you might be interested since you made the older OpenGL object. That was a great object also but i found Mins objects more useful because i could code OpenGL directly with the base object and Lua code.

Anyway though i hope another developer will continue this project as it is great. Thanks Min :)

  • Ah, well. It had a good run and you have made a neato extension, does anybody know where the 'original event-driven single extension' is availible for download? Because i'm really "good" with it (but rubbish with the new one!) And I think I've finally found a good use for it after all these years of making platformers and scrollers, oh and that move-screener.

I'm the Original Dragonguy! It's true, I really am the Original Dragonguy bigger and better than ever!

  • Yeah; theres something about that original one; i guess its because i learned OpenGL programming using it; but it just seems so natural to use :)

New one is great tho, and far superior in performance speed :P
