I've always wondered how many developers worldwide use the product. And I'd like to see sales growth after the release of IOS Exporter.

Off-Topic: How many MMF 2 sold Clickteam?
Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Not as many as they should. The main problem seems that a lot of people are unaware of MMF2, but most people that try it are impressed by what it can do. I think it's a matter of time until the tides are in our favor and it becomes a question of "Do you I need to buy it" instead of "What is it?"
-
I agree with you fully, that is why their efforts on IOS Exporter Exporter and Android should be very strong and finally get high quality products.
I also believe that we must also help to match production and in my case always say that develop with MMF from Clickteam, as I have done for so many years in Venezuela. -
True, but I think the real factor is public awareness that the software exists. It needs a few very high profile success projects to capture the interest of the majority of developers. I think that would be a game changer.
-
The problem is that currently all Middleware softwares are providing the same or wider range of exporters and at the same time support for 3D games, which was always a PITA for Klik products.
What's more few of the companies went into great deals and ideas like joining their developers under one name to help promoting them on AppStore or providing pre-release titles on new phones like Xperia Play, and that creates a big halo around them and their options and we are still threaten from perspective of Klik & Play and TGF 1.04...

I never really understand what your saying Fano......
Currently the vast majority (maybe all?) of middleware software solutions requires the user to learn a traditional programming syntax as you know Clickteam products are much different.
Different good or different bad? Thats all a persons perspective and the desire end result your project requires.
We are selling more then enough to grow - We have been able to hire some extremely talented people to help Yves and Francois.
(Hello to ChrisB, Andos, Jamie, and to less extent but no less an impact all the extension creators and their projects we have been funding)
We are quickly becoming the "industry" standard for game development education in the USA middle and high schools.
Pretty darn impressive for a couple guys in France and no company debt.Things will come together fine once we have iOS, Android and XNA.
This will easily fuel the company to version 3 where we plan to eliminate a lot of bottle necks that advanced users run into now.

Jeff. I understand that clearly and I appreciate your efforts, this is why I'm trying to promote Clickteam software as much as I can and discuss it with different Universities as well as companies, and I'm glad that even after some of events co-organized by me people are looking on MMF2 products and buying them.
But at the same time, I'm not blind and I'm seeing how MMF is growing in many aspects as well as hearing from different sources about influences of Klik range in the US educational area, but at the same time how much it's loosing in eyes of Independent Game Developers and bigger publishers which is quite wider market than educational sector and where other companies are growing quite rapidly. Also it's always shame for me looking on different compilations of industry visioners and people with influences seeing there people who are responsible for other middleware software but no mentioning of any of Clickteam members despite the knowledge and experience of all those guys.
I don't want to throw names or other stuff, I only can say what I say and what people are talking behind the scenes. What they think and feel about MMF and that we have to change it and I will try to my best to do so. And maybe some of this stuff is just bare PR and nothing more... But it works well for them, with all the newsletters, sharing informations about new partnerships, next bunches of users, released commercial games made in those softwares, community addons and so on. But I'm not loosing faith in you guys and this company and I'm wishing you all the best.
Also I am in beginning stage of making a series of articles and courses (about which I was writing while back to you and Kisguri for Klikdisc) which would compare different middleware softwares and show to a 'beginner' can create pretty much the same games in different softwares, but how it works out better with a little more effort in Klik range products.
I never was against your politics, maybe sometimes a bit cricital about some moves, but never against. And yes, it is based only on information which I posses, and they never will create a full picture, but are motivating me to look also after those parts of the market where we aren't strong as we should be with such great products.

Fano,
First I am not really sure you even read my post.......I had typed a long reply but then I thought, his mind is made up so why waste the pixels.
Your ideas are noted.

There is a distinction about the CT concept to "scripting" games/applications and what the underlying engine can do. These are two separate factors. As a scholar in the field of game development, I have dealt with a large number of systems and can confidently say that CT's scripting concept is by far superior. Scripting systems should be designed to be simple and elegant rather than complex and powerful (since the real power comes from the engine behind it).
While the 3D factor is indeed a weak point in MMF so far, it is quite possible that soon enough MMF can collaborate with independent complete 3D engines (like Unreal perhaps) instead of having to integrate our own 3D engine into it. Even the high end 3D engines are still annoyingly cumbersome to script, which makes this prospect quite a viable option.

Jeff I read it through. I don't want to argue cause your points are valid.
Mokhtar option to encorporate MMF coding with BGE or UDK Would be great
And now I'm going back to coding.

Selling to the indie game segment and professional studios is something we want to focus on in the future.
All the people in that market went to school at some point
-- We are working from the bottom up instead of the top down to change the world.

That's cool. Thanks for info Jeff.
