Core of Innocence - Update

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hey everyone!

I figured it's been a while since I've posted an update here and just wanted to share where we are at with the game.

For those who may not be aware, the entire game world is complete! It's fully explorable with all the spells and key items in place. So, aside from fighting baddies and bosses its possible to go from start to finish of the game.

Next up on the list of things to do is creating enemies, and in saying that, I took a look at the AI I had in place and to be honest I just wasnt happy with it. I am redoing the platformer enemy AI to be more fluid and beleivable instead of the 'move back and forth, attack when player is close' style I had in there before. I tip my hat to Nifflas for the new AI I'm putting in place, in which I can control many enemies with the PMO object at once. His example files on that have proved invaluable!

Some alpha invites for the world test have been sent out, just to make sure none of the rooms are linking oddly, or that the player can't get stuck somewhere if they are missing a powerup. Received some good feedback from that so far, in terms of mechanics as well as some bugs in gamepad support which I've been working on fixing. Also added some various lighting in some story areas as well as touched up the title screen a bit.

If you missed the post on our facebook page, I opened up a kickstarter page to help with some funding with costs that have arisen with the game, as well as for covering future costs that I'm planning ahead for. Even if you don't want to donate, or just dont have the means to do so - Check it out anyways, as I put a new promo video on there that shows a glimpse of the two areas I've been keeping a secret! :D You can check it out and show your support here: Please login to see this link.

As always, any feedback and constructive C&C is welcome!
