Problem with swf build

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Does anyone know if the swf build handles buttons and subapps differently pre-build vs post build?

Here is the problem I am having:
Pre-build on my game all button objects display fine,
but post-build some buttons dont show up.
Secondly, pre-build the subapp follows the frame when the screen is centered on my character, but in the post-build (actual swf) the subapp will not follow the frame.

Is it possible for Francois or someone to look at my mfa and see why it runs differently pre-build vs the actual swf build?

    Thanks

  • I am, StephenL.

Here is the basic problem (and when I use the term "pre-build", I mean running the mfa using "Run Application; when I use the term "post-build", I mean clicking the completed swf build to run the file):

I am running an RPG where if a player clicks on an inventory box, the inventory box pops up.

1)On the Pre-build (running the mfa using "Run Application") the inventory subapp remains centered over the player, even when the player is moving.

2)Post-Build, running by clicking the SWF profile, if the player moves, the subapplication for inventory stays fixed in one spot, and when the player moves, the inventory subapp won't move to stay centered over him. It stays fixed in one spot and won't follow the frame.

Is there some way to fix this?

    Thanks.

  • It is weird how the subapp does what I want it to when I run the mfa with "run application" but does something different in the swf build.

I bet Francois will know why - when he gets back let me know and I will see if he would review the mfa.

    Thanks

  • Hey, Just chiming in to say I'm also suffering the same issue. What's even stranger, it seems to scroll in the opposite direction the frame is scrolling.

On the Same topic, I've also noticed the "remove created backdrop" function doesn't work, but the "Remove all created backdrops" does.
