hardware 24 Relays out for Multimedia fusion 2

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hy, after two years of hard work I have done to create a out board with 24 relays for by Multimedia Fusion 2. I'd like to extend this project because I receive many requests and special interest. I did everything alone, web site, programs that control the card, and video tutorials on youtube, but unfortunately I can not resolved some problems. I'd like to know someone really experienced to create an extension for the control of the board. I used a DLL and call the relay switching on and off with the commands exe. I do not want to publicity my product, I want to know what you think of my project and I'd like to start a serious partnership to interface my LABDOMOTIC 3000 to the software multimedia fusion 2. In my website I put a tutorial section to use MMF2 but is in Italian and right now I'm very busy with work. I'd like to find someone who is able to help me make the English translation. A special thanks to click team for creating this wonderful software.

  • This is quite interesting. I do wish it wasn't in Italian, I watched the entire video just out of curiosity.

  • Hello, thank you. I want to make the video in English, but I'm looking for help because it is not easy to take the perfect translation from Italian into English especially for the technical language.
Download this software that I have programmed with Multimedia Fusion 2. This software controls all 24 relays Domotic LAB-3000

  • Hi daniele,

Very interesting. I send you a message.

What matters is not to add years to your life but to add life to your years.
    Give yourself some time.

  • Very nice! I've recently been doing some things with the Raspberry Pi and MMF2, though it has to go through another interface to do it - I should post about that at some point :) But this looks like something really interesting for people aiming to use MMF2 for physical control.

  • Okay, this seems really awesome. However, I do have one question: How do I buy one? I can't seem to find anything on the website that tells me how I can get one. I at least want to be able to see how much it costs.

My Please login to see this link. (which I actually use), my Please login to see this link. (which I mostly don't use), and my Please login to see this link. (which I don't use anymore pretty much at all really). If there are awards for "'highest number of long forum posts", then I'd have probably won at least 1 by now. XD

  • Hi daniele,

I have developed some hardwares with integration with the MMFusion. This is a very interesting use of the MMFusion. You can use the Serial Object to control the board (you can comunicate your device using a USB CDC connection, for example).

  • Hi daniele,

I find very good that there are some robotic and domotic applications out there. I find the Lab-Domotic very interesting for demonstration and teaching purposes.
However, I am more reserved regarding the architecture you have chosen: it seems that all cards are be centralized around the PC. For me domotic means independant system, that is to say a system which is 24/24 connected.
And a PC is not a really a good platform for such things: slow to start, high consumption, Windows can have timing dependent problems, ...
I would have added an hardware interface between all the cards and the "supervisor" (PC). In one of your application, you have an Arduino platform, it can be a solution.
From my point of view, the PC should only be a supervisor which is time to time switched on to change configuration or visualize the system.

A network based architecture (GigE connection for example) would also be more in the trend to have distant control systems.

    Damien
