Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi everyone,

The release candidate #4 is available, in theory it's the final version :

    Fixes

    - Random object : Get String sometimes returned an empty string and could crash.
    - iOS object / On Deactivation : the previous image is no longer shown when reactivating the app.

If this version doesn't work for any reason, you can reinstall the previous version (note: if you do that, it will install only the iPhone files, not MMF2 itself as the sub-build number of the new version is higher - if you want to force it to install mmf2 as well, keep SHIFT+CTRL pressed in the installer).

    Thanks for testing!

    Yves.

PS: general notes for new testers :

    - to build iPhone apps with MMF2 you'll also need a Mac with OS X Snow Leopard, you'll need to register as iPhone developer ($99 per year) and you'll need to install XCode and iOS4 on the Mac. Plus an iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad to test on a real device. More info in the documentation.

    - this beta version is limited in time (expires on July 15th).

    - the installer installs the current version of the build 252

    - please read the help file, in the Distributing/iPhone section for the main help, in the Objects/Inventory/Other section for the Accelerometer, Location and Joystick Control objects, and in the Objects/iPhone section for the other objects.

    - as the number of beta testers might become important as time passes, everyone won't get a free copy of the iPhone exporter at the end of the tests, as usually only a minority of testers do 80% of the work. To be clear, the ones who do a real testing work will get a free copy, the others will get a discount.

  • Downloaded.

The performance issues I had don't seem to be fixed yet.

I'll have to just lower the resolution and forget about retina display I guess.

  • No fastloops...

And yes, on an iphone 4 it has no problems, but running on the iphone 3GS there are random drops in framerate.

A lot of people I know still use the iphone 3GS so I don't want to lose them as customers if I can.

  • As I say, I have an IPod Touch 3rd gen, which has the same hardware as an IPhone 3GS. In my case I experience no dramatic drops in framerate, just a few drops depending on certain factors, but not enough to worry.

Tell me more about what you're experiencing and when and maybe I can help.

  • How about this.
I'll try to PM you a version to compile and test for yourself.

  • I have a 2nd generation itouch, but have been working in the lower resolution. I find frame drops on this from time to time but with timer based movements it compensates nicely.

some screens can be found on my site - Please login to see this link.

it started out as something to test various features/movements of the exporter but it's been fun so I might turn it into a real project!

  • Downloading and happy that we are in the final stage, and do not report bugs.
I look forward to the final release and Gamecenter beta object... :)

  • I've tested the runtime in my ipad with an upcoming game, very code-optimized but still 1024 in resolution and the results I got were decent considering the ipad's limitation.

  • Thanks!
