Force an animation frame

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Is there any way to force an animation frame on an animation and have it still playing? Ie, skip to frame X of the animation, where it would still continue playing normally. I have an effect that generates hundreds of objects playing the same animation simultaneously, and it would be nice to set them to start at a random point on the animation. I have some workarounds I could use, but if i'm overlooking some feature it would be nice to know

(force animation frame pauses the animation, and when you restore it, it starts from the beginning)

  • I've found a way, hang on lemme open up my project from years ago... (will edit)

    EDIT:

    Always works for me ;)

Err, no? It continues the animation from the current frame. I do this all the time and have no problem with it. Please login to see this link..

LB: I don't have to insert a "restore animation sequence" action to do that. Is there any particular reason that you do it?

  • I did it because I had the same problem in an older version of MMF2 from a couple of years ago. The problem seems fixed now. :)
