Questions about flash optimazation

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I was wondering if there's a way to lower the image quality in my game for all objects because I've noticed the game is starting to run a bit slow on my mediocre computer and thought that lowering quality could help. there aren't that many objects but the frame rate is not that great in browser anyway.

I was also wondering if there was a way to get rid of the seeing objects off frame problem, the games native res is pretty small ,259x219, but the frame itself is much bigger. the problem is that if I expand the screen then you can see more of the frame instead of just having the screen stretched out. Anyone know anything about these issues?

  • 1. if there's a way to lower the image quality in my game, yes under Graphic mode click this and you may choose the quality settings.

    2. you can import your own custom pallet (i know this is possible i just am unsure of the details)

    3. a way to get rid of the seeing objects off frame problem, you should center scrolling options to the player.

    hope this small bit helps

  • Well, Graphics mode only lets you change how many colors are on screen, I meant something that you can change in game that just makes everything blurrier so it runs faster.

  • You're both correct, Flash runs in 16 million but MMF2 will save in a lower format, which saves filesize but not performance.

  • well, I'm more interested in something that would improve the frame rate, you know when there's a flash game or movie sometimes they have a option for low, medium and high quality?

Basically I'm wondering if there's a way to do that or something like that. Just so If you start getting lag you can turn this on and speed up the game at the graphics expense.
