Weighing scale- Help needed

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi everybody,
I am trying to make a realistic(as far as it gets) weighing scales like the one goddess Justice is holding.
I want the user to be able to drag and drop objects and the balance to change accordingly to the objects' weight.
I searched the forum and could not find anything that would help ...
Is it possible to do this without using extensions (need to export to flash).
    Thanks!

  • I know that what I have in mind is really difficult to accomplish so I will probably have to settle with less ...
Anyway, just to to give you a clue:
The central part of the libra is able to move circularly when an object is put, limited to a point (green straight lines and angle, yellow center of rotation)and this should be according to the weight of the object (meaning that a heavy object should force a fast move downwards where a light object should give a smoother move). At the same time both left and right parts are able to move circularly in a more limited angle (blue straight lines and center of rotation, this happens only when an object is put on the scales and it regains its balance again to the vertical red straight line)and at the same time the blue points should be able to move circularly (blue circle) when the balance changes.
So my problem is physics

  • Ok!
I used the standard circular movement and I think that I have come really close to the result I wanted.
The truth is that the Geogebra file I made to send the image to my previous post helped me think better.
    Here is the result:

  • That's really strange ...
It appears as tiff but if you right click > save as you can download it as mfa.

If you run a version lower than 252 (latest update) there is a bug:
It will set the radius to 0 and both left and right parts of the libra will end up in the middle ...
Workaround if you use an older version:
In the objects properties> movement, change radius to 228 to both objects and erase both the set radius actions in the first line of the event editor .
