Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

    Summary:

So far I've dedicated a lot of time to researching, collecting features to add, and figuring out how I could add them. Over the past 1-2 weeks, I've been working on the "Files and Folders" object. I've added full control over files and folders on the hard drive (including move/copy operations, setting file attributes, and customizing files and folders), full sets of expressions for manipulating file paths and retrieving system folders, and file enumeration. I am almost done with file associations, after which the Files and Folders object will be pretty much done.

    Summary:

I didn't end up making very much progress at all over the past week. :( This was mostly because I was very busy, and I couldn't fit in much time to work on OS Control. I also encountered a few roadblocks finishing up with file extensions. Overall, the week's progress consisted of finishing the File Extensions portion of the Files and Folders object, and preparing the next part.

I hope I'll be able to get more work done next week. I'm going to try to have an alpha ready for Files and Folders by next Wednesday. :)

    Summary:

This week I finished the "Links and Shortcuts" portion of the Files and Folders extension. This part enables you to create file and folder shortcuts, hard links, symbolic links, mounted folders (needs testing), and URL shortcuts. This took a long time because it actually required that I do a lot of new coding. Creating file shortcuts was my first experience with using COM interfaces. Symbolic link creation, supported on Vista only, required extra measures to successfully load on Windows XP (thanks Looki!). Now that I am familiar with how to do this stuff, it should be a lot easier the next time around.

Now for why I appear to have made negative progress. I have not in fact made negative progress at all, but I realized that there were a lot more features that could be added to the Files and Folders extension. These include more advanced file management features, as well as an entire section for managing local drives.
