When my iPad app starts, music from the iPod music player stops.
My app plays no sound at all; is there a way to allow the music player to continue playing music in the background?
I can't find any solutions for this, although some people indicate it is possible.

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Out of interest, was this resolved or is there still no way to do this?

This has to be a property of the application. For the moment the default behavior is to shut the sound.
We will implement it in a future version. -
This is a great news!

Yeah, I would like to have the choice if the app shuts the music off or not too

Will we be able to decide at runtime whether to play our own music or have iPod music play? Because that would be amazing.

Yeah, I would like to be able to do this too -
As a musician and sound designer this kinda grinds my gear a little;) You should NEVER listen to you ipod while playing a game. It is disrespectful to the creators of the game, and you diminish the experience the game wants to give you.

I agree but users should have the choice to play the game how they want to.
