Update #1 - Release Candidate #2

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi everyone,

A new release candidate for the first official update is ready :

EDIT: this version has been removed... (EDIT2: Francois if you want to install it, it's still on the Please login to see this link.)

This update in theory fixes the problem with the armv6 architecture setting reported in the following posts :

    Thanks for testing!

    Yves.

  • Just to sum up the changes:

Note: the build number is now 253.

    Fixes and new features

    - (what Yves posted about armv6 in the above post)
    - New Auto portrait mode
    - New iOS property to disable smooth filtering when upscaling the window on the device.
    - New iOS store expressions (to get error message and number)
    - Better handling of sounds pause and restart when the application is interrupted by a phone call or put in the background
    - Slightly optimized APO (Active Picture Object) loading from resources
    - APO didn't center around the hotspot when scaling
    - APO offset feature didn't work
    - APO changing hotspot made it move to a wrong location
    - APO flipping vertically/horizontally was not correct
    - Some movements (like Pinball) had problems getting and setting movement values
    - Crash when using auto-landscape option in combination with sub-applications
    - Subapp could get misaligned when containing an object with fade-in transition
    - Array object : saving of a text array was incorrect, resulting in a crash later when reloading the array
    - Camera object : crash under iOS5 after taking a picture
    - Game Center Multiplayer object : find match action never resulted in a match started

Note about the Active Picture Object: The offset feature might leave a dark border when the image tiles. The only workaround for now is to use an image that is power-of-two sized (like 8,16,32,64,128,etc).

If this version doesn't work for any reason, you can reinstall the previous version (note: if you do that, it will install only the iPhone files, not MMF2 itself as the sub-build number of the new version is higher - if you want to force it to install mmf2 as well, keep SHIFT+CTRL pressed in the installer).

  • After installing this update I get the following error on he target build info: "Information from info.plist not available. File may not exist at specified path".

And if I try to compile it anyway, I get the following error: "could not read data from '........../<GameName>/armv7': The file "arm7" couldn't be opened because tehre is no such file."

  • I am getting the same error "could not read data from '........../<GameName>/arm6 armv7': The file "arm6 arm7" couldn't be opened because there is no such file."

(i just made an ios button on a black backdrop with a sound that plays when pressed) i am still trying to get my first app to work as i havent had any luck yet (my fault for buying an iphone 4s lol)

  • btw i tried to see if the "camera object bug" was fixed but unfortunately it still exists! with ios5 iphone4 and just an app with one button and the camera object the app crashes after you take the picture; i checked bothrc1 and rc2 :( notice that i tried to remove the HDR and grid options from my iPhone's camera just in case it conflicts.... here's a .zip with the .mfa ---- check it out if you have time, maybe i'm doing something wrong.
