Help! Review says there are iAds in my game!

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I accidentally put "lite" on the title screen, but this is not a lite version of my game...

There is a review on my game that says they paid .99 but they also see iAds. I didn't put iAds in the game, so this is quite shocking.

Can anyone out there who already using my game confirm that there are iAds in it?

Please let me know. I'm scrambling to get the accidental "lite" taken off the game title screen.

  • "Lite" has nothing to do with iAds. You can have a lite version with iAds in it. The only way to have iAds on the app is that you accidentally enabled this functionality on the MMF editor for the project, and then enable it on iTunes Connect when submitting your app. Also, when you test your app, fake iAds are displayed so that you can get the idea of how iAds will be displayed, where and when on your app.

Maybe the person posted the review on the wrong app?

  • BHGames: Well, yeah, I know Lite has nothing to do with iAds, I just freaked out when the reviewer said it has ads... the simple fact is, I don't have any ads in it, but it does say "lite" on the title screen. I simply put the wrong graphics in the game and didn't notice it.

Keith: I'm much more calm now, knowing the reviewer is wrong. I'll update a fix to remove the word "lite" from the title screen, and I have updated the Metadata to say that there are no ads, and it is the full version...

  • Hi Tuna - I used one of your codes from a different post for your game Jazz 21. I can see the Lite on the menu, but haven't noticed any iAds - I doubt I would have noticed the Lite if you hadn't mentioned it ;)

Yeah, that's exactly why I missed it... its hardly noticeable! I have confirmed there is no way for any ads to be showing up. The reviewer made an assumption. Thanks! Hope you like the game!
