i'm sure this is a stupid question, but What all do i need in order to post a game onto a website so that it can be played in-browser? I'm using the standard mmf2.

But with the standard MMF2, you can also export to Java - both the SWF and Java export options should automatically create an .HTML file alongside the compiled game, so that you can upload both to a site. -

There is a play button in the file browser thing. Is that what you mean?

When you use the "Play sample" action or "Play music" action in the event editor, a window appears. You click on the "Browse" button next to the label "From a file" and then you can browse you sound files on the file system. After you click on a sound file you can click the "Play" button at the bottom of the dialog to listen the sample you selected.

You just choose the Play sample action int he event editor.

how do i get to that?
when you choose the sample there is a play button to preview the file before you add it. Once added there is no preview unless you edit the event to change the sample -
You can post in the Open Topic Community area in the forums and I am sure some people will help you test your game.
