iOS Rate Me Object

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Rate Me 1.0 (beta)
    Extension by Tim Ellis (Crazy_Ivan)
License: None needed but it would be appreciated if you did :)

    Hey Guys,
This is my first attempt at making an iOS Extension and seeing I am a single developer on this there may be bugs!
Please report any that you find :)

Secondly I have also created an Windows version of this extension so you don't have to test it just on an iOS Device :)

I suck at making help files so I have included a sample project which I have tested working on my iPhone 4S :)

If you have any questions, comments, bug reports, etc. post them here :)

    Enjoy

  • Hi Crazy_Ivan, any news about this extension?

When I try to build the IOS Project, it says: "following extensions are not compatible ...etc"

Is there any other way to give players an easy opportunity for rating your IOS game?

  • The easiest way is a button or the Question&Answer Object. Once tapped you can use the iOS Object to open the iTunes url of your game.

  • There is a bug in this extension causing the runtime to crash when changing frames. It is very easy to fix though.

Your '-(int)getNumberOfConditions' rountine should return '3', not '0' as you currently do. The number should be the number of conditions your extension has or it will crash.

  • Ah, thanks for that find Anders.
I'll update it when I get some time off uni.
As for now can people do as Anders suggested once they load their project in xcode :)

  • Ok I found the line and changed it. I get the prompt that asks if I want to rate the app, not rate ever, or do it later. However the conditions for the different choices dont work on my device. They work in the mmf runtime, so when you click "Dont remind me" you get the ""Don't Remind Me Pressed :'("" Text as you should. But this does not happen on an actual device. I actually just tried to change a value, so if the user click "Dont remind me" this value is set to 1 so that the prompt will not appear again. but the value never changes on a device so something is not working right?
