Out of Memory when building the application?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • When attempting to build a executable file of my game, MMF2 will look like its going to for about 10 minutes before coming up with an "Out of Memory" error message. Could someone please tell me what this is referring to and hopefully how to circumvent this problem?

  • If you've got another computer -- you could try building the application on that computer to check it isn't your computer that is having the difficulties.

Otherwise, you might want to check your runtime options -- if you've got "Compress the runtime" checked, try unchecking it.

How large is your MFA file? If it's huge, that could be problem.

  • Rushido: How Do I do that?

    lh37: Its about 250 MB

From the sounds of 250MB, it might be worthwhile to increase the virtual memory and check you have enough RAM when you compile.

To what Rushindo said, you can increase the virtual pagefile / memory by:
Right clicking on computer --> Properties --> Advanced System Settings --> Under the "Performance" group, select "Settings" --> Click the "Advanced" tab --> "Change..." --> and make adjustments if needed.
    (Steps for Windows Vista/7)

I'd suggest you consider decreasing the size of the MFA file, like making images/audio/video external rather then internal... since a 250MB application might take a while to load.
