On my computer, in the MMF2 tester, it constantly begins to freeze and lag! My app has about 287 lines of code in it, which isn't much in my opinion, but are there any tips for a better performance?

well it all depends on what events you are using and how many loops/always/every events too, if there is a group of events which you do not always need looping then disable their group, if you have sprites which do not use many colours use the colour reduction option on them.
To freeze and lag sounds like a different problem though to me, does it pause to load often? does it run at a slower frame rate then what you want it to be at? need to explain more.

It does run at a slower frame rate. There is a star loop that does it 200 times. There is 23 always events that I condensed into 6. There are 13 groups, 4 of which will now be disabled until needed.

OK, now it's freezing. Whenever the frame restarts it completely freezes... Any ideas on how to fix this?

You should send any file to us that could be a bug. That way we can debug and fix it quickly. We have no idea how to fix bugs only described as "it crashes", "it freezes" or "it doesn't work".

Perhaps this description could be more of use than the whole file: No Boss in Play Area, Save All 23 Values, Reset Timer, Restart Frame.
This is what I think is causing the issue: Start of Frame, Destroy Everything, Load Values from 2 inis, and set level to level + 1.
On the computer, this works fine, on the iPad, it freezes, not crashes, but freezes...

XStar, Andos is right, some hard evidence to the problem (the file) is much more useful than "it freezes". The actions you listed in your app should not freeze anything.

Freeze bug found:
The app entered an infinite loop in the 'Last object has been destroyed' condition. I wonder why this haven't been seen before. Fixed for next release. -

Most likely because no one uses that condition. I haven't used it since the knp days in the step-through editor.

Oh wait, I didn't give you the .mfa did I? Oh... whoops... Hmmm... I think I know the loop you're talking about, but it just saves the score per level in an ini when the boss is destroyed. I'll move it up in the programming and see if that helps.
