A call for PS Vita beta testers

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi everybody!

We have been working hard on the first beta version of the PS Vita exporter and we are going to need testers.
If you want to beta test the PS Vita runtime please read carefully what follows, and consider your decision:

    - By being a beta tester you commit to use and test the product regularly. I mean more than once just to see how it works. We trust you to actively test the new versions we publish, with all the games and applications you have at your disposal.
    - By being a beta tester you understand that the versions of the software you are going to use are not in a final state. They will crash and your game will certainly not behave as normal (at least at the beginning of the beta program).
    - By being a beta tester, you commit to report all the bugs you find in the product, in the best possible manner in the dedicated PS Vita forum (you will have special access to this forum once entered in the beta test program). You should report the bugs in a thread of your own, with your real name as a title. Like "Bugs reports by Anders Riggelsen"
    - Once we publish the beta, you obviously agree not to distribute it in any way.

We will (what we have not done before in the previous beta test programs), remove inactive people from the program after a certain time of inactivity (like one month).
We will thank you at the end of the beta test program by giving you a rebate on the PS Vita runtime, or even a free version if you were really helpful (for example, 7 free XNA versions were given at the end of the XNA beta test program).

    Please note:
Currently the PS Vita SDK from Sony is currently free to use for beta testing purposes and is downloadable from here:

Once the open beta program from Sony is complete it will most likely cost $99 per year for a developer license (similar to the Apple iOS developer license).

So if you agree with all of the above, please send me a PM with your real name and your MMF2 serial number.
I will get back to you when the runtime is published, give you your PS Vita runtime beta serial number and grant you access to the PS Vita Beta test forum.

Everyone at Clickteam thank you in advance for the help you will give us.

  • How does the PS Vita store work? Can a developer just submit a game up there or is it a separate indie section etc.? I can't seem to find much info about it. I'd invest in a PS Vita to help ClickTeam if I can see myself making the cost back through game sales on it.

  • Please login to see this link. should help you with any questions you have, though I'm not sure if it answers your question.

My Please login to see this link. (which I actually use), my Please login to see this link. (which I mostly don't use), and my Please login to see this link. (which I don't use anymore pretty much at all really). If there are awards for "'highest number of long forum posts", then I'd have probably won at least 1 by now. XD

  • I'm going to have to try to get in here to beta test the exporter, Sony have contacted me a second time requesting MANOS ports and this time are offering me a dev kit, so I think I better try to sweet talk my way in, heh...

  • Hi
Sony put a new video for Indies Games..I think it's time for us to make games...

Neat. Sony has been pretty awesome about Indie Devs lately. I also spot Terraria...!

I'm very interested in the Vita runtime so PM sent too :)

  • in complete agreement!

They really stole e3 this year - indies in front of screens on mainstage was pretty <3 - worthy.

Jeff & Clickteam gang - have you guys been in contact w/ Sony yet? I bet they'd provide dev support for mmf Vita / PS4 exporters, and probably even go so far as to cross-advertise for mmf as a way for indies to get their content onto Sony platforms (you know, after an exporter exists :) )

    Self-publishing on PS4 is mighty-tempting!
