The first beta of the PlayStation Vita exporter is available (build 256.19) :

Ask Andos for a serial number if you didn't get one already. Japanese users: don't forget to mention what version you want to use, as the serials for the Japanese version are different.

PS: general notes for new testers :

- This beta version is limited in time.
- Look at the Distributing / PS Vita section of the Help file for more info about how to build and test PS Vita apps.
- Testers will get either a free version or discounts proportional to their work. :p

any idea when the next beta is due? would be great to have the overlapping actives/collisions bug fixed

Yeah, waiting for that one to be fixed myself as there's really not much you can do while making a game if you can't test for collisions.

Besides that however it is very fast and smooth.
I must have had about 400 moving objects on screen without the slightest hint of slow down.

I think Andos is focused on the iOS 6 issues right now.
So we won't see him working on Vita till that gets resolved.

it would be great if JUST the collision issue that scottie mentioned could be fixed for beta 2

right now we cant really do anything at all

I think we are on a pause right now with the vita and evaluating if he needs to work on this or another runtime.

We do have limited programmers and to be honest.... the vita is looking like it might not be a hit for Sony.
I do hope we can get the vita export module done but if there isn't a very big market for the module, its not something we can really focus on until we have more programmers.
