Problem with iOS final Xcode project

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi,
I am making a game for iOS and I have reached the final stage of my project. Last week I used the "iOS final Xcode project" to build and test my application on other devices.
The problem appears on my iPad when the application must change Frame (Jump to Frame ...) and instead, it disappears (goes to the background as if I had push the button) and restarts (always jumps to the first frame). This happens rarely and randomly!!!
I did not use iTunes to install the application, it is installed when I connect the iPad to my Mac by Xcode (the same procedure I have been using so far). It has not happened on other devices (my beta testers) in which it has been installed with iTunes.
Until now I used the "iOS project" and the "iOS application" build types and this problem did not occur at all!
Can somebody help me figure out what is happening?

    Hristos,

  • Don't take this as gospel, but I believe that if you are running into issues with that for some reason, you can submit your project as "ios project' just as easily. I think the only difference is that "final xcode project" simply eliminates any uneeded extensions to save space. Perhaps it's accidentally eliminating something that is actually needed and the game is crashing.

  • Thank you for answering!

The only extensions I use: an array and the accelerometer object!

Do you also compile in release mode?

I will try to answer bur I am not really sure if I understood correctly (sorry!)...

I have compiled an *.ipa file for testing. Testers have used iTunes to install the provisioning profile and the app on their device.

I have provisioned my iPad for development, so every time I tell Xcode to launch the app on the device. The problem happens on my iPad only after I compiled using the "iOS final Xcode project".
It happens only in my menu screen. There are 15 "buttons" from which you choose the frame to play.
The code is really simple (attached image).
    iPad 2, iOS 5.1.1
    Xcode updated to last version!
I had MMF 2.55 when it started. I have updated two times (3rd and 4th beta of 2.56) and nothing changed...
