Resolution settings.

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • the BEST way is to follow Android guidelines and make resources in MDPI, HDPI, XHDPI, and have your app scale to the screen size... but that takes a hell of a lot of work, especially with the 1-person development studios that use Clickteam products, and can be very resource and memory intensive with the limitations of MMF2's software.

So yeah i guess i dont really have an answer. So far in my tests I'm mostly resizing the app window to fit (with black bars), and some apps i have resize to fit and then scale the frame, repositioning objects if needed. The second option i mentioned looks nicer but can be difficult depending on the app.

  • I build all mine ~850x480, gives for a nice effect (landscape) and can be up/downscaled to perfection both on a phone or tablet.
