set angle, action point wrong

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • You can see the problem below. The action point is at the end of the red rope (the opposite side from the hand) and I have an ALWAYS event, setting the position of the eyeball to the end of the rope. However, on the device, the eyeball just sits at the center of the rope.

This is strange, because I have a second rope, that rotates slightly ahead of the visible rope, and an event that centers the camera at 0,0 from that rope's action point. The camera positions itself fine, but the eyeball does not.

The rope rotates using the scale/angle functions and also stretches in and out using the X scale function.

  • That's weird, I think the rotation and action point works for me in Froggia :S Unless that wasn't how I did it...

If this is a glitch, in the mean time you can try using the width of the rope object and some basic trigonometry to position the eyeball.

  • I have tried to reproduce a couple of times without luck.

Maybe I'm doing something differently than you are doing. If you want you can send me your application so I can debug it.

I'm going to update to the latest beta and see what happens. If that doesn't fix it I'll pm you a copy tomorrow.
