[Windows Phone] Freezing on game resume

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • OK, I have posted two files :

Please login to see this link. >>> for Windows Phone SDK 7.1
Please login to see this link. >>> for Windows Phone SDK 8

I will turn it into an option in the Application properties, but for the moment Yves is absent so I cant do it.
Just copy one of the files in you data\runtime\XNA\Phone directory, and remove the 7 or 8 so that it replaces the existing one. This file is not to be opened, it contains the template Runtime project.

I have built and submitted my app prior to this file. I hope my app will work. if not I will try try again. thank you for your time Francois.

  • Hi Francois, the RuntimeXNA8 is working when building in SDK 8 to makes apps for Windows Phone 8 (but not Windows Phone 7.5 for me), but the new RuntimeXNA7 is not working for me to make Windows Phone 7.x apps on the 7.1 SDK (I can't test on sdk 7.0).

I get error: the configuration data for this product is corrupt.

Please keep up the good work :)

  • I am having trouble as well on Windows 8 with the 7.1 SDK.
Have you tried to install 7.1.1 update? This page says that it enables you to run the 7.1 sdk under Windows 8...

  • Hi Francois was I had the additional update, have uninstall and reinstalled the full thing and then the update again however the same issue is back. As you noted from your post on another thread as the 8sdk actually outputs a 7.1 game I think its best we stick with that even if we cant test on the 7.x devices as long as the windows phone 8 device handles the 7.1 game correctly it should be the same for the 7.x platform.

    Does that make sense?

If unknown will submit to Microsoft and find out XD

  • No I do not really understand.
You mean you have uninstalled MMF, reinstalled it, then copied the RuntimeXNA.zip file that I posted earlier. And it does not work?
Can you check the dates of the file to be sure?

Comments: Pressing the device back button has no effect on the application.
    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Launch the application.
    2. Select the '1' button or the '2' button.
    3. Press the device Back button.
    4. Observe the application does not respond.

    still not working. sigh.

  • Have you got an event with the back button? I've had no problems with this (although haven't tested with the most recent beta)...

  • You mean, you actively check for the Back button (with the XNA object Back button pressed? condition), and it does not work? The button is not detected?
You have to do it yourself as I cannot predict the path you will follow in your application.
