Is there a way to convert a series of images to a video file?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hello everyone, just a little idea I had but I wondered if it could be possible?

Let's say I developed a program with MMF2 that could create an animation by saving series of images ("frames") but later all put together into a movie format, like .avi, .mpeg, .mp4, or even .gif and is played back by having a millisecond delay between each frame. Could this be possible through the use of extensions in MMF2?

I'm doubting that there is such extension or method that could do this, and resorting to third party apps to do the job isn't ideal (such as copyright issues should the app get distributed with the 3rd party tool.)

I'm not expecting this idea to come alive, but any advise or tips on how it could be possible is much appreciated :)
    Thanks in advance!

  • You can use Sphax's AVI Object to save images onto an AVI file. If you need to save images from your program to put into the AVI, you could use the Surface object or Screen Capture Object.

  • Thank you Game_Master! That was exactly what I was looking for :D
