Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!
Yes I watch a bit of it. I am hopeful Sony pulls Vita out of the current downward spiral its been in but only time will tell.
Right now the projected number of sales of an export module is far below the development cost for the export module. If it starts to look like the Vita is on the rise the module is certainly something we would take another look at.
They need to get more devices into the hands of players.
I think we would need 100 or so MMF users to commit to purchasing the module before I could even bring up the subject of seeing if time exist in the schedule to reactive the module.
I wonder if running a kickstarter on this to see if there is that much support in the community for this module would work?
The Vita is awesome hardware, and I love playing games on mine. I've made a few things with this beta, but some of the bugs are holding me back from publishing anything. I'm sure it wouldn't be recommended by Clickteam anyway.
It is now also free to publish on the Vita Mobile Store. I registered for my free license a few months ago.
You should definately give Kickstarter a go... it would potentially give good press, but also allow you to reach the 100 or so users that you need. Win win. If it doesnt meet its goal then its no loss.
This seems to me an excellent move for Sony, Apple is ahead in their plans to turn the Apple TV into a console and destroys the competition as OUYA, Gamestick, Project Shield.
It is low-priced consoles war, it opens a window into the indie developers.
Clickteam, believe that they could reconsider this exporter, have no doubt that Unity, Game Maker and others see in this market and soon to update their engines to support the PS Vita TV and possible Apple TV with Apps!
Personally I'm not at all impressed with the OUYA thus far. I'll prolly bring my game to it anyway, but once the PS Vita TV launches in the US it's going to eat OUYA's lunch.
Remember that this runtime will support both the Vita handheld and the Vita TV. Not to mention any PS mobile enabled devices. I think the value of this runtime is going to rise a lot in the coming months.
