What do you call Clickers outside of this community? What do we do?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Normally, I'm not too hung up on labels, but when describing how one makes a program with MMF 2, what do you say? Saying, "I'm a programmer," doesn't quite work because we don't use a programming language even though we mostly follow the same logical process. Saying, "I'm a Clicker," requires a lengthy explanation. Is there an accepted, easily understood term out there for what we do, or do we just have to educate people on MMF 2?

  • Programmer works fine. The approach is very much the same... I've used C, Visual Basic, Basic, Java, Javascript, PHP... and I go through the exact same motions regardless of the environment.

The act of building a program is programming.

  • Thanks, all. I think I'm going to go with "developer." I think it might be the least confusing of the bunch, although you all make good arguments.
