Mac Runtime diagnostics test (for users with Intel Graphics card problems)

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi everybody
Some users are having issues with the Mac runtime and Intel graphic cards.
I have made a couple of tests I would like you testers with the problem to try out.

It is a version with a bit more error reporting and uses two different approaches to drawing the contents on the screen.

    Steps:
    - Download: Please login to see this link.
    - First replace the MacRuntime.dat file in your MMF's \Data\Runtime\Mac\ folder with the MacRuntime.dat file from diagnosticsA folder, export your game and test
    - Then try the MacRuntime.dat file from the diagnosticsB folder.

Is there any difference between the two? If you get an error message in the crash log, can you post it here?

Note: The "DianosticsB" version will most likely give bugged graphics (if it works for you at all) but it is an important test to see what the reason is for the intel bug.

    Thanks for your help!

  • so i tried to load my app (read game) and i got the attached results, this is without the above modifications and i've attached my app and osx crash report

oh, for me it loads after a fashion and then pops up a white screen then crashes as i'd expect by known intel graphics issue

    [update/edit]
sorry i missread the above instructions, i thought i could replace the macruntime.dat file in the game.app by doing the show package contents thing. i realise now i am suppose to replace that in my mmf folder, this might delay things by a week, le sigh.

  • Hello Zem, I report it here, the only way to compile on Mac is to install the version. 24, but back off again.

  • Thanks Koji, hmm...does that mean i need to update my MMF to a the beta version too? i was hoping i'd only have to update the mac exporter to different betas.

hmm ah it seems that i may have updated my mmf to the latest beta, not the mac exporter?

i'll look into that, thanks Koji :)

  • update-

i have tested an example i have made and it works fine on the intel machine, with all MacRuntime.dats too

i guess that doesn't really help fault find.

It is a simple example which changes the background colour if you move the active object right or left, its nothing fancy but i can upload the mfa if it helps or someone wants.

I have found a solution to the problem but it takes a bit of work to test and make work properly.
