Switching between frames movement bug

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

  • Hey Clickteam Community,

    I am trying to have the player be able to go back through a doorway to the level they had just cleared. I have the character's equipped items carried over, and I have it in the right position, but the player can't move! I've used the "Set Position To" event.
    Also I had a quick question about the swords and armor in the file: I want to be able to make the sword and armor in Frame 1 a one time pickup that doesn't respawn when you re-enter Frame 1. Is there any way to do this besides using Alterable Values for each sword in the game or making a unique sword active object for each level?

    For the first issue, add "only one action when event loops" to your position event. The issue here is that whilever the condition in this event is true, the position will continue to be set to what you have specified. Alternatively, in this event you could set that "dungeon floor entrance" value to something else, such as 0.
