[Bug] Bus Error 10

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

    when i try to open my game.app it crashes almost immediately

    i'll try to isolate the cause of the crash.

    the Bus Error 10 is what Console reports: "03/09/2013 11:15:07.066 com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[138]: ([0x0-0x2c02c].com.yourcompany.MacRuntime[296]) Job appears to have crashed: Bus error: 10"

  • If I remember correctly, a bus error occurs when your processor can't even attempt the memory access. It's sort of like your requesting too much memory, which shouldn't happen...

    But, that's all I have for an input.

    Thanks for the reply XStar, it's a really weird error.

    I copied the 1st frame to a new application, built that and it crashes, i copied the frame to 7 new blank applications (to modify the frame for different builds to eliminate what is causing the crash), i deleted all the events so there is only 4 objects (counter, array1, array2, string)..built that and it crashes, created a build of the vents split to each application.. only 6 events, they all work fine.

    so to summarise, without events it crashes, with events it crashes, seperate everything out and it works fine..

    maybe that in itself is the problem

    i did save the frame without the events, went back in to windows (I'm doing this via bootcamp) loaded the .mfa.. built it, created an application for each object separately..they all work fine..

    can't figure it out, the only difference seems to be that i saved and loaded the mfa with the exporter type as Mac..and went back into windows. i'll try and upload the mfa of the full frame with objects and events that crashes.
