Hi,
I used MMF 1.0 years ago and while I loved the rapid cycle development possiblity of that version, I ultimately had to stop using it because some of the objects (e.g. some of the video objects) did not work correctly and I also could not successfully create stand alone .exe's with it.
I am interested in knowing how well the product now works for creating web based, mobile and stand alone apps. I downloaded the trial version, but it appears that much of the functionality that I am concerned about can't be tested in the trial version. I do love the ability to work inside the MMF IDE, and it appears that the video object issues probably have been fixed, but once you've finished your creation, I'd like to know whether the ability to share it is not going to be a struggle, but rather will be a success. How buggy has the SWF plugin been for people using it? What types of apps can't you convert from MMF to SWF successfully?
I also see mention of a soon to be released upgrade to MMF 2.5 and wonder if that will be the same price as 2.0 and if not what will be the difference? Will MMF 2.5 incorporate the SWF plugin or will that still be a separate purchase?
Finally, I see that an MMF 3.0 is on the horizon with a different engine underlying it. How will that impact users of 2.x versions and if you have a sense at this time, what do you think may be the timeframe and potential price difference for that version?
