It's Fusion 2.5 eve ;), it's out tomorrow :)!! Best of luck, Clickteam!!
Fusion 2.5 feature list
Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Yes good luck! i'll be the first one to buy it

Sorry
We got a little delay to the 5th now for release.
We will try to have the process for getting the upgrade open on the 4th. -
Also, is there going to be a easier way to deal with slopes for 2.5? If you have files made with MMF2 (student) will they be compatible with 2.5? What about extensions? (like with Extension View)
-
Physics should take care of slopes.
2.5 can load 2.0 files but not the other way around.
There is also a built in extension manager in 2.5 -
Talking of physics and slopes... I understand if this is a nono to talk about, and that it's gonna be here in mere days, but could any details at all be given out relating to the new built-in Box 2D physics system and platform movements, which I hear tie into it now? Is the "built in" platform movement still based on the original ancient one, the excellent Platform Movement extension or something new?
I'm curious if I'll gain any benefit in current platforming projects I'm toying with as far as slopes go, and if I should prepare to have to abandon the Platform Movement object to gain new benefits or the like.
-
I believe you now have 3 options
1) the old ancient default platform movement
2) the new physics platform movement
3) continue using the PMO -
There is also a built in extension manager in 2.5That's pretty cool!
Well I bought 2.0 so... I can now start learning so long! makes the wait for 2.5 bearable for me
-
Yes, I'm expecting platform movement to work really well to be honest using a physics based movement. I don't mind PMO but it's still a faff IMO to get working exactly how you want.
-
I wish, I just wish Clickteam would've messed a bit to improve Global Events which is the one main reason I may wait till F3 to see what will be done in that sense...
-
No harm in waiting for 3 but check out the free version of 2.5 when its here later this month so you can see the other new stuff in it.
-
Here we are again, Fusion 2.5 eve :). Hope all goes well for tomorrow!!
-
Good luck Clickteam!
-
hi... I recall a while back that I switched to PMO because of a bug I was having with the built in platform movement. The bug was that if I touched the SIDE of a wall while falling, I would no longer be able to move left or right while falling. I also had a lot of other random bugs that I was glad were gone when I switched to PMO. So I would like to know, has this particular bug been fixed and in general, the built in platform movement, has it not just added new features but also been improved bug-wise?
-
I couldn't find the answer to this. Will Fusion 2.5 export native Windows 8/RT Windows Store Apps, or is there a HTML 5>Visual Studio path?

Fusion 2.5 is now on steam for $99.99 to any who are interested!
-
Are there still different variants of it (TGF, Standard, Developer) or is it all-in-one now?
-
There are still variants. There is the free version (coming soon), Fusion 2.5 Standard, and Fusion 2.5 Developer. I'm thinking the free version will be the equivalent of the demo for MMF2 and TGF2 in general.
-
So what's Fusion 2.5 like? How is the new physics engine?
-
Pretty freakin' cool Paul. It's amazing to use, and getting great results with all of the tested movements.
