MMF2.5 : update or new software?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

    Maybe I'm dumb and this has been answered days ago, but will Clickteam Fusion 2.5 be a free update (for the owners of MMF2) or a paid software ?

    It will NOT be a free update. This has been stated several times. It is a new program. People who recently bought MMF2 will get a free copy of MMF2.5, but it will not be an update, it is a new program. I'm guessing you will get a discount on getting a copy of MMF2.5 if you already own MMF2, though.

    It'll be a paid upgrade for existing MMF2 users (except those who purchased the product within a certain time frame, who will get it free)

    From what I'm aware of, existing MFA projects and exporters should be compatible since it's running on a similar code base.

    Some of the "free" built-in Java exporters to MMF2 Dev are likely to be dropped, keeping MMF2 installed means you can still use those older exporters.
    Also, a free limited version of the HTML5 exporter will be released and included with CF 2.5.

    Until the official announcement is out, you'll have to scatter through all the fragmented forum posts for the details.
