Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Made a test on Ouya last night and noticed that my application force closes most of the time. If I keep running the app it'll eventually run.
The application I made simply initialized the IAP and set a counter depending on whether or not the player has a certain DLC installed and then went to the next frame.
It didn't seem like the IAP every did initialize either

    Just a heads up

  • I just did another test with just two characters (controlled by Player 1 and 2) and some counters that are constantly counting down. App wont even run on my Ouya. I see the window pop up and it just hangs and then closes. I did get in ONCE and it played just fine.

    I tried build targets 2.3.3 and 4.1

i just test in my OUYA console with no problem and the application does what you design to do. for example if red reach first to yellow dot counter get 1 and stop subtracting 1 to value.

... new things are coming ...

  • I rebuilt the application with a fresh install of the Android SDK and JDK with no luck. I tried launching the app 14 times and each time it closed.
I had even signed the APK this time to see if that was causing issues. I should note that when I install the APK it shows up under the PLAY menu and not MAKE like my other apks that I had built for the Ouya on different platforms. Not sure if that is significant or not, but I thought I'd just throw that out.

I'll try building from my laptop tonight after work and see if I have luck I suppose

  • I tried your apk and it still crashes at start up. I'm not really sure what's going on. Ouya is updated to the newest version and its brand new.

Other games play just fine. I can attempt to get a logcat log to see if its throwing an error message

  • Here is the just a snip from the logcat file

and this is the entire file just incase I missed something important

I'm still completely baffled why nothing from the android exporter is running on my system

  • Just an update: I tried to play Amazing Frog last night on my Ouya and it was doing the same thing as my apks. I'm starting to believe that the issue is not with the MMF2 app but with my Ouya. I tried a factory reset but I'm still having the same problems.
A few other games work fine, however. Hopefully the problem will be isolated asap in case anybody else runs into this issue

    Update 2:

Ouya support got back to me and said this

    Quote

Currently there is a bug with some games where they may crash on start if controller input is detected as the game launches. A way to verify if it is this issue or not is to go into the PLAY menu, high light the game, wait 5-10 seconds then launch the game ensuring no stray controller inputs are made. Having USB or bluetooth input device connected to the OUYA may also lead to stray inputs that can cause this issue. We have reached out to these app developers to inform them of this issue and are working with them to help resolve this issue.

Perhaps the Ouya export needs to be updated to reflect whatever "fix" Ouya has. I'll try to get more information later

  • I almost think it has something to do with the Ouya plugin causing it to lock up. I had no issues playing things without the Ouya plugin, but when I add it and start adding controls to it things get messy.

Is there a way to disable the plugin and have it only enable once everything is loaded? Also, if you're interested I have isolated the point in the logcat report when the application locks up and crashes. I uploaded it here: Please login to see this link.
