Questions about Fusion 2.5 Developer.

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hello guys, I'm an animator who decided to get into game development, and after a lot of research and trying multiple engines I decided to go with Multimedia Fusion.

But I have a few questions... Hopefully someone can clear things up.

Does the Developer version comes with all the export options? (android, ios, etc) or do i have to buy them separately just like in the standard version?

Do i need to have the developer version in order to add Ads to my games? or In-app purchases?

Does the standard version comes with a pc exporter for free?

I can see that with the standard version you have to add the "made with multimedia fusion logo" to your game, which i don't really understand why do you have to do this with a paid software. I don't mind if it is just a small splash screen at the beginning of the game or something like that but can i add my own splash screen as well? or do i need the developer version to add custom splash screens?

And my last question is, if i buy the standard version and want to upgrade later to the developer version do i get the $99 discount for upgrading? or do i have to pay full price?

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to meeting this community :)

  • - You have to buy the exports separately.

    - I believe with Developer version, you are free to do anything you want with it. Sell it, etc. It's regular/normal version that you need to provide MMF2/CF2 Banners to your games.

    - Any version comes with PC exporter. But is anything really free? You're paying for the program. So of course there's going to be at least 1 exporter for you.

    - I believe if you buy the regular version, and decide you want to upgrade to developer, there might be a discount. That's exactly what I went through. I first started with MMF2, and then later upgraded to Developer version for more options & less limits of what I could do with it. I don't know, can't remember what the price for it was then. But I'm sure they could give you a discount for a developer upgrade.

  • Welcome! I will do my best to answer what I can.

    1. No. Each exporter comes separately.
    2. Yes.
    3. Yes.
    4. The license agreement just states you have to mention Clickteam somewhere in your game. (even hidden in the credits screen is fine). You can add your own splash screen in both versions.
    5. Yes, you get a discount if you upgrade later.

    Hope this helps! :)

  • Thank you guys for the quick responses.

    Well that really helped!

I guess i'll have to buy the standard version first and then the developer version ... (just because of the Ads support) Don't know if there are other features that are worth the upgrade.

    Thanks again guys!

I just bought an Udemy course to get started with MMF2 but is there any place with more good tutorials? (i always love to get as much learning resources as possible)

  • Fusion comes with a basic block breaking game tutorial that you should follow. It will teach you the basics of how to use the software. I've learned most of my stuff just by messing around over the years.
I've been playing around with Click products since Klick N Play in the 90s :)

  • Thanks for advice, will make sure to check that out!

One last thing, is there like a showcase with all the games made with MMF2?

I'll really love to see what people has made with the software over the years, specially mobile games :D (can't find it on the clickteam website)

  • I highly recommend Snail's youtubes. My other first point of call would be here:

  • Thank you guys for everything! I can see that this community is very helpful, i hope that when i learn more about this great software i get to help others :)

i have a quick question though, if i start my game in fusion 2.5 even if i publish it, will i be able to open/edit the same game on the developer version if i upgrade later on? or should i upgrade first and then start working on the developer version?
