Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi guys

Is the Fusion 2.5 Android runtime slower than MMF2's? I think it might well be the case. I built a project that I'm working on in MMF2, and then in Fusion 2.5, and the differences in speed are noticable, as you'll see in the following (unlisted) video. No settings were modified between the builds:

Do you have any thoughts on this? Could Fusion 2.5 run through its code in a different way to MMF2 during runtime? No Fastloops are involved in this.

The Android runtime is running at 60FPS, more or less, in MMF2.
In Fusion 2.5, it's more like 30 (I don't have the exact numbers)

    I'm using:

    Build API: 19
    Minimum Android: 2.1
    Target Android Version: 2.3.3, 2.3.4
    GPU Required
    Display Mode OpenGL 1.0
    Display: Stretch to Fill
    No Image Compression
    Smooth Resize turned ON

Zone Runner: Anniversary Edition out now.

  • Apparently it is slower now because of Box 2D and other features they added that have bloated the runtime somewhat.. it'd be nice to be able to disable/cut out unused features to make the runtime smaller and faster somehow.. but I'd guess that's impossible.

Image compression always helps. Also set your FPS to 60 + Vsync if you haven't already.

  • Wow, that's rather worrying if that's the case. Guess I'll have to go back to MMF2 which is somewhat irritating.

(I've already tried enabling VSync, and the game is already compressed, with 60FPS set :( )

Didn't realise this, that sucks. If anything i thought the run-time performance would improve from MMF2 > 2.5

VSync is not used in Android

... new things are coming ...

  • Is there any chance of getting a new beta asap? looks like a lot of things on the android runtime is fixed now, including 2 important bugs i submitted to the bugbox.
And i agree that box2d should not be included in the runtime if there is no instance of the physics engine object, i definitely noticed it's still included on the ios runtime when building final project.
