Java Script commands call from HTML5 runtime!

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I am so sorry Crayzorechos, I have never used it so it would be trial and error for me as well. If you understand JavaScript you should be able to play with it and get it working though.

  • Here, I'll just make a Extension for receiving function calls, and running arbitrary JavaScript in a bit.

I've already gotten the code all worked out, just need to plug it into the HTML5 extension framework.

I'll make a new thread when its ready.

Really named Ben Otter, but oh well, eh?

  • Hi iOSC! Many Thanks, you're great guy! While it working on me, but I can want test this function from HTML5 Object and as I understand this function is not working on me! Maybe I not right set this function or this is bug? Francois where you are!

    P. S. iOSC your extension can't return variable from function because it is compatible only simple calls Java script function! Anyway Thanks! I added this extension to extension manager for all clickers, you support it?

  • Sorry, I've been away these last days.
Thanks Gregory, but no need of your extension : the HTML5 object works perfectly.

Here is how to do :
Please login to see this link.

The HTML5 object calls window['function'](parameter list), where "function" is the name of the function passed in parameter of the action, and parameter list the parameters your have pushed with the actions of the object. If you want your own function, just define it in the html.

  • Hi Francois and all clickers! Thanks for example! But this is not working on my browsers ( IE11 and Opera ), no call Java Script, but graphics draw is fine! This is bug? Please answer for me!

For iOSC: No, I not added it, but I want adding this, if you like!

  • Francois, I basically made this extension because the actual HTML5 object needs the function be defined in the html first - which is sometimes a little bit annoying.
    But anyway ;)
crayzorechos : No, I prefer not - thanks.

  • Sorry Gregory, I did not know that, this is a good idea.
Ha! It seems that the version that was on my Dropbox was not the good one : it opened the alert box when you pressed Space. But the problem is that this "Space" key is immediately detected by the alert box as a click on the OK button, and quits immediately on some browsers.
I replaced space by a button, and it works fine on all my browsers. Please login to see this link.
